**HOT NEWS**
WE HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR 3 SPECIAL SESSIONS AT THE MEETING
- On Thursday, we will have two guest speakers from the Interstate Compact that will give a presentation during lunch. After lunch, the meeting will reconvene and the discussion will continue with as much time as needed to handle any questions that you might have about the Interstate Compact including any "how to" questions that you might have.
- On Friday morning, Karen Alvarado will give a presentation on Suitability and Annuities.
- Also on Friday morning, Michael Freedman (from Coventry) will give a presentation on the secondary market for life insurance (life settlements and other innovations) and STOLI (Stranger-Originated Life Insurance).
** We expect to have a full agenda, so please plan on staying until noon on Friday, the scheduled time for the meeting to adjourn.
**As in past Panama City LHCA Meetings, the Wednesday night reception promises to be a special evening with special give-aways.

Hotel Information
The meeting will be held at the Marriott Bay Point Resort in Panama City Beach, Florida.
The Bay Point Marriott Resort offers a luxurious retreat for recreation and comfort, in a unique setting overlooking St. Andrews Bay. Choose from a number of different room types, including one and two bedroom Golf Villas and spacious guest rooms with scenic views of the surrounding bay.
The recently refurbished golf villas are being offered for this meeting and can be available at a great value. These villas provide the living space of a condo. If you can find a friend to take the second bedroom of a two bedroom villa, each person (or couple) will pay under $120.00 per bedroom night.

These special rates will be available from Monday (1/21/08) through Saturday (1/26/08), so come early and stay over the weekend and enjoy all that Panama City has to offer. Click here to check out the hotel's website.
When making your reservations, please identify yourself as a member of Life and Health Compliance Association group in order to obtain the special rate. Please call their Area Reservations Office at 1-800-644-2650 to make your reservations.
Note that the deadline for making hotel reservations is 12/31/07. The hotel will accept reservations from attendees after the 12/31/07 only on a space- and rate-available basis.
Registration and Guest Fees
The registration fee for our meeting will be $445 per meeting attendee, $235 per guest, provided such payment is received by January 4, 2008. After that, the fees are $545 and $300 respectively. Please make registration fee checks payable to "LHCA Meeting Fund" and mail them to:

Note that when you factor in the cost of the room for two nights and add it to the registration fee, the total cost (registration + hotel) is less than these costs for the last three meetings.
Airline Transportation
Arrangements should be made to arrive at Panama City - Bay County International Airport. The airport code is "PFN". The airport is serviced by Delta Connection and Northwest Airlines. Click here to check out the airport's website.
Ground Transportation
Taxi/Shuttle Service:
The airport is approximately 11 miles from the Marriott Bay Point Resort. The Marriott hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the Airport. The fee for this service is $50.00 round trip per person. Shuttles need to be requested at least 24 hours prior to pick up or drop off at the airport. Contact the hotel directly at 850-236-6000 to schedule the shuttle.
Taxis are also available. Cab fare from the airport to the hotel is approximately $25.00.
Rental Cars:
Panama City Airport is serviced by all major rental car agencies.
Note: The hotel provides complimentary on-site parking. Valet parking is also available for $10.00 per day.
Don Edde Memorial Golf Tournament
The golf outing is scheduled to be held at the Bay Point Marriott's Jack Nicklaus Designed Course. The course is located at the resort. The greens fees for this event will be $135.00 for golfers. Once again we are inviting non-golfers to join us to watch and cheer on the golfers at no charge. Golfers, don't worry about your skill level, just come out and have fun! The tournament will be played Wednesday, January 23, 2008.
